A classic song and Levi Stubbs fantastic lead vocals are strong but soulful in the extreme.
How can that be followed on the radio by Kid Rock’s annoying catchy rip off of Sweet Home Alabama. Is that really a classic? Surely they should play Lynyrd Skynyrd. Or even better play their friend Neil Young’s song Alabama or Southern Man, (which the band felt they needed to write replies in praise of Southern Men!)
And another thing! Neil Diamond really is a genius songwriter and performer! You make me sing like a guitar hummin'!
